AUDITIONS - GENERAL
INFORMATION
SHAKESPEARE'S TEXT:
We are education partners with the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC, so we tend to start with the Folger Texts. The cut is by Director, Colleen Stovall
MONOLOGUES:
Here is a great website that has most of Shakespeare's monologues.
CHARACTERS:
HOW TO AUDITION
1. Send an email to miamishakes@gmail.com and request an audition.
2. Prepare
a. 1 Classical Monologue
b. 1 Monologue of your choice.
c. If you sing, prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo song of your choice. You should provide backing track. We can hook up your phone to a speaker.
You should bring any cables.
d. If you play an acoustic instrument, please prepare 16 bars of any song that show-
cases your skills.
3. Wear
a. clothes that you can move in
b. Tie back any long hair

It's a wrap! Final night of shooting was a success.

FEATURE FILM
IN THE CAN!
The Florida Shakespeare Theater, under the direction of Colleen Stovall, produced its first feature length film! Midsummer is slated to come to a theater near you in March of 2022.
