Shakespeare Schools Show

The Shakespeare Schools Show is NOT a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream.  It consists of scenes, and an exploration of the use of Shakespeare's language, the art of directing, costuming and designing a play, stage combat, what it takes to be a working actor, and more.

WHEN: 

The schools shows are held on Thursday, January 20, 2020.  There are 2 shows.  9:30 am and 11:30 am.  The shows begin promptly at the appointed hour.

SIGN ME UP!

Please sign your class up on our Sign Up Genius Online Sign Up Sheet to reserve your seats.  We will send you a form that you must fill out and send back to us. You may send a check to PineCrest Gardens ($2 per student) or bring cash on the day of the show.

WHO?

This schools show is open to all. It is recommended for Middle School and High school students. Unruly students will be asked to leave.   Teachers and chaperones are required to stay with their classes.

Join us at the 2020 Shakespeare Schools Show #1, a rollicking exploration of William Shakespeare's beloved comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream.  This is not a full run of the play, but includes scenes, breakdown of costuming, design elements, director's notes, stage combat, Elizabethan Makeovers & audience participation. 

This show is free to all students and chaperones.  Pinecrest Gardens asks that you donate $2 per student to their Education Fund.

Students can bring their lunches and eat in the picnic areas of the park before or after the show.
